As a mum of 3, I have learned
how to become a super hero. Whilst there is a baby demanding
a feed, there is also another child announcing starvation
if not fed immediately or declaring an enormous school project
that must be handed in the following day! Getting fully dressed
by midday was miraculous and if I managed to brush my teeth
- wow, what a bonus! I can honestly say ‘I’ve been there,
done that and got the T-shirt’. I could relate to mums struggling
with a heavy car seat (piccolo), babies protesting in public
areas & seeing parents’ frustration when their child wanted
to be carried on the hip. Not forgetting the immense strain
all of the above put on our bodies.
After making a carrier for my son, life changed for the better.
He was firmly attached and it felt good. He was where he wanted
to be & I could get things done. He has never been a very
good sleeper (not even now at 17 months), but 2 minutes in
the pouch sling, still guarantees a trip to the Land of Nod.
Phew!
Rhubarb & Custard was established
towards the end of 2006 after many requests for the pouch
sling I designed for my baby, came from friends and strangers.
I am completely in love with my work & very passionate
about the babywearing philosophy. It has taken me a little
while to get things right, but I am proud of my pouch sling
and other products. Our products are stylish, easy to care
for and completely practical.
Rhubarb & Custard - making
life easier & strengthening the bond between your baby
and you.
