I gave birth to my baby boy Thomas in Jan 08 and can only say - My sling goes everywhere with me. We travel a lot and there is NEVER a issue with space! Just pack it in your normal luggage! t folds up smaller than my baby's blanket! It is great to have on flights as well because you do not have to hold on to your baby all the time! My sister is also pregnant now and I bought her a sling as well.

My R&C sling has been life changing, especially during my baby's first three, rather colicky months. At 2am, when Simon wasn't sleeping, I'd "sling" him and walk around the house. Within a few minutes, he was fast asleep. I'd then place him in his bed, still in the sling, and slide myself out instead. Worked like a charm.
Now, in the winter months, I walk my dogs with him curled in the sling. His head and body are covered by the material, and he is warm and snug as a bug.
It's wonderful. I was so concerned with the pouches where the baby's arms and legs hang out. It's hard to keep them warm then, and I've seen a child nearly fall out because the parents didn't fasten it correctly. With my R&C sling, Simon is warm, cosy and safe and most importantly, happy.

Rhubarb and Custard slings have changed my life for the better! My daughter had colic for five weeks after I stopped breastfeeding. Being a single mom without any help, I needed to keep baby calm and quiet for as long as possible everyday. The only way to achieve this, was to carry her in her sling wherever I went. She started on solids at three months due to her digestive problems and having her sit right under my arm for the largest part of the day, it made feeding her 'adult food' so much easier. She is seven months old and will eat absolutely anything. She can drink juice and water from a glass just because I have been sharing everything I consume with her. She will fall asleep anywhere as long as she is in her sling.
Being a working mom I often have to go to meetings and take her with. The fashionable fabric and prints are great for matching with outfits and not to even mention on how comfortable the sling fits! And boy have I shopped around. I am convinced that my daughter's colic was reduced by me "wearing" her. I am convinced that weaning her was easier because I could make her part of my eating experience. I am convinced that I have been envied by many a pram-pushing, basket carrying, dummy juggling mum out there.
